Salon Capelli

I hadn’t had a deva cut for many years. I decided it was time to admit that the regular cuts just were not working for me. I saw positive reviews for Mario at Capelli, so decided to give him a try. What a good decision!! Mario is the consummate professional! He is expert at curly hair. I watched his work on tne client before me who had tight curls and she looked gorgeous! Then he had me with my course, high volume loose curls and he did an amazing job. Not to mention he is a lovely person who I enjoyed spending g time with. So grateful to have found him!

Nice, comfortable salon. I liked the stylist as a person but the quality of work was lacking. I am not picky about my haircuts for the most part- I tend to ask for a trim & long layers. I needed to find a salon closer to home so I decided to try out salon Capelli. I'm writing this a day after my appointment as I was able to take a closer look once I got home as the stylist had a client after me.

The attention to detail I think was the issue as my front layers were not checked (stylist comes to the front of you & pull layers to check for equal length) & as you can see in the photos they're not even. I asked for a middle part, so both sides should look the same but they're completely different lengths. There wasn't much blending, so it looks a bit choppy. As a person, I don't know all the ins & outs of hair cutting, but I do know this doesn't look even & blended.

I'm writing this on a Sunday & they're closed. Their policy is to reach out within 48 hours-- so I'm hoping someone gets back to me because this haircut wasn't cheap & I don't feel comfortable with the state my hair is in after the service.

Update:

I received a call pretty quickly after posting the review. We scheduled another appointment, this time with Trinh. She was attentive & explained everything she was doing as she fixed the layers to even it out on both sides. She made sure I was given time to look at my hair & to touch it, shake it about.

As I've said previously, I think this salon is nice & comfortable. Trinh is really wonderful. I just wish I didn't have the initial experience I did. I think there are wonderful people here who do their best to make sure the finished result is as clients would like it. So, as with anything, try it out & if it works for you then great! I'm glad I returned to have my hair fixed & was in the company of people who care about their work & their clients.

My daughter wanted haircut and eyebrows done, and the owner was extremely accommodating. The receptionist was helpful and friendly and Trinh who cut my daughters hair, invited her to come back for a trim of her bangs whenever she needed it. Definitely high quality salon experience!

Hi. I’ve been seeing Trihn now for almost a year for my curly cut and all my color needs. She is fantastic! I am very particular and I have blonde hair that looks very natural. She always runs on time which is a huge plus. She is also extremely friendly as is the rest of the salon.
