Xfinity Store by Comcast

I found the sales associates at this Xfinity location to be very helpful. Albeit, I went with my expectations set to be very low considering the service I've traditionally received (or haven't to state it more accurately) in the past when calling their 800 # with the intention of receiving information on their rates or adding/dropping services.

While I had a great experience at this location in particular, my main issue with Comcast/Xfinity has always been their service model of roping you into a "deal" that somehow offers you cheaper prices the more products they get you to commit to - ie. Cable, Phone, & Internet - for a limited term, then jacking up the price outrageously when that term ends or if you modify the plan at all. Then you have to call and threaten to drop the service altogether to get them to offer a plan they should have offered you in the first place or add another service you don't need which will lock you in for another X months and likely still have you paying more than you should be yet again.

I know someone whose bill is about $250/month for just phone and cable, but has four boxes. Upon calling Xfinity to discuss solutions to lower the bill, it was suggested they get rid of a few of the boxes which are only $10/month - that would effectively drop the bill to $220/month for cable on one TV and a phone line worth no more than $10.

The benefit of visiting a good branch like this one is you're more likely to get the service you want for a fair price. So the moral of this review is to always visit a branch when working with Comcast (unless you are confident you know the technologies you're requesting such as internet speeds, channels, want to use your own equipment [modems/routers] and can spare the time to get to the right employee and get the right deal - the secondary moral is that this branch in particular seems to be stellar in regards to its customer service.

The moment I stepped in I was greeted with a big smile from Syed. He went above and beyond what I was looking for with Xfinity. I thought I only needed help with a better internet connection, but he made me realize there was a better alternative for me in regards to speed, reliability, and price. He also sympathized with me when I told him I had a strict budget. I plan to make the hour drive again from Philadelphia to see Syed for future purchases with Xfinity. Thank you so much Syed.

I walked in expecting to be pushed into additional purchases though I only came to switch from T-Mobile to Xfinity Mobile. Syed was great to work with. He provided me with the details and made the transition practically effortless. Unless I see him when I walk through the door, I'm likely to come back another time!
