Words can't even describe how beautiful this place is! Absolutely stunning formations. Our tour guide, Adam, cracked us up and entertained the children and adults of the group throughout the entire tour. Small cavern, but worth it. The gift shop is also very very affordable and you can get alot of souvenirs even if you are on a budget. Highly recommend as a fun day trip! Staff is super friendly ❤
The Lost River Caverns was a really interesting tour! It definitely has a small family vibe when you enter.
The guide was really informative and threw in a few jokes to keep it entertaining.
They've made the cavern pretty accessible with flat ground, ramps, and hand rails.
It's always 52 degrees Fahrenheit in the cave, so it felt amazing on our summer time visit.
Great activity for most ages!
Very accommodating for a larger group, but no discount on a Sunday. Excellent tour guide! The cave had some tight spaces and low hanging rocks, but nothing our group (ages 2-65) couldn't handle. Minimal stairs. A small gift shop and museum with some cool souvenirs.
It is a small, family owned cavern in Hellertown, PA. We booked tickets online the day prior. We arrived about 20 minutes before our tour time. The staff was very friendly and very sweet with our 3 year old grandson. There are a few things to look at in addition to the actual tour. There is a “museum” inside with various taxidermy animals, rocks, and minerals to view. Outside there is a very easy walk/hike though their property to see the trees. It was great for the 3 year old. The panning was not operational the day we were there (it had been cold the last few day in the evening—so I assume that is why the pump and panning was not operating) there have clean bathrooms available. The tour was very informative and funny as well. No bats or anything inside. You could clearly hear the Lost River running under the cavern. Worth the trip!
The cave was fun and interesting. This is not my first time here. The price is affordable and the tour was informative. I have added some photos, but there is so much more to see. The pretty lady is with me, and not part of the tour. Lol. If you are taller, watch your head in a few areas. Just a quick duck will do the job. You have to reserve a spot, but if you call the cave they just take your name. No payment in advance required. The only time we paid was after the tour was over. The gift shop also had some really neat samples of minerals from 1 dollar something up to hundreds if not more. Most items we observed were less than 5 to 10 dollars.
