After researching Recumbent bicycles in my area, I was directed to Jersey Bents with Larry, Matt and Bacon. I had seen Cruzbike in a magazine & learned that Jersey Bents carried the brand. It was Matt on my first visit (after making appointment) who introduced me to the Cruzbike & taught me how to ride it. Recumbent riding on a two wheeler is all together different. Matt is a patient
great teacher and knowledgeable individual. After riding the bike in their huge parking lot, I felt it was too small for me (I am 6’8 & weighing 245 lbs). My next bike to try, which is owned by Larry, was a Lightning. I spoke extensively with Larry about the bicycle and he offered that I try his bike. Quite the bicycle for tall people and easier to maneuver than the Cruzbike. As I’m still shopping for a recumbent and checking out the two wheeler recumbent, Jersey Bents is the go to recumbent bicycle shop for me. Both Larry and Matt are no pressure owners but are knowledgeable and I’ll continue to go there until I determine the bike for me. Jersey Bents has a large selection of recumbent bikes and trikes. Bought a recumbent bike this week at Jersey Bents in Berlin, NJ. Knee replacements led me to investigate a new style of bicycling. My biggest fear was making a wrong expensive purchase. This fear was put to rest after meeting the owners Larry and Matt.
Relying on their wealth of knowledge, unlimited assistance, patience and years of experience, the perfect bike was found.
No question was to small, silly or unimportant and phone calls were responded to quickly. Follow up was offered and given as needed, especially as I’m a first time buyer and there was a lot of info to absorb.
I’m loving this bike, my knees feel great and the thought of expanding into a new hobby is exciting.
None of it would have happened without Larry and Matt’s expertise.

I live in the DC metro area. I regularly ride a bike to work 12 miles each way. Perhaps age and some chronic hip/back issues caught up to me, but about six months ago the issues became progressively worse. I finally decided to look into a recumbent bike. Got great service from a shop in Vienna, VA, but the wait time for the Catrike Villager was approximately 9 months. I started contacting Catrike dealers further away, but not too far to make the trip. And thank goodness I found Larry and Jersey Bents. Our first email communication was on June 18. Through the combination of perfect timing and fantastic customer service, I picked up my shiny atomic orange Catrike Villager less than 3 weeks later. After some initial settings based on the x-seam measurement I sent, when I arrived Larry took the time to give me a more custom fit. Larry also answered all of my questions and threw in some nice extras, including a bottle cage and bottle. Whether in the Jersey/Pennsylvania/Delaware area, or perhaps even further out, I cannot recommend Jersey Bents enough!

I met with Larry the owner to test ride a recumbent bike. Very pleasant and knowledgeable man. He was happy to answer all my questions and address all of my concerns. Took the time to hear my story and help me find the right bike for me. Would recommend this shop 100%

I'm giving Matt and Larry (Laurie? I'm sorry I'm terrible with spelling of names) at Jersey bents ANOTHER 5 star review. They were awesome during the sales process and have continued to be awesome after. Their customer service is fantastic. Through no fault of them I brought my trike home with an unexplainable flat tire. Round trip for me would have been almost 4 hours. With out hesitation Matt offered to send me what was needed to get me on the road as well as an extra tube. These gentleman offer out standing customer service. I am glad I chose Jersey Bents for my first recumbent purchase.
