Hope Pryde Farm Bed & Breakfast

We were the one and only guests!

On our drive from Maine to Florida we were looking for an affordable accommodation in Pennsylvania. Several of the Trip Advisor reviews noted dirty showers, bugs and noises (like a train in the middle of the night) on chain hotels. When I saw this B&B I made the call, and we are so glad we did!

Hope Pryde Fam is definitely off the beaten path, over the winding roads and up and down hills About 15-20 minutes from any East/West highway. That made it more appealing to me, since after driving all day I don’t want to hear cars and trucks all night in a motel near the highway. We definitely got a quiet night’s sleep at Hope Pride Farm!

And no noisy occupants in the next room or above us - we were the only guests there! Talk about a big plus during the Covid spike. Our hosts, Richard and Betty, welcomed us on the phone and when we arrived, and showed us the guest house. We entered a spacious living room with microwave and fully stocked fridge and snack bar (Betty said “Help yourself!”) with plenty of seating and a hide-a-bed couch. The master bedroom suite is a charming converted “summer kitchen and brick smokehouse” (see bedroom picture) with walk-in shower in the bathroom, Upstairs is a loft with two beds and a private bathroom with a tub for any kids inn the family. With the hideabed you can sleep 6 comfortably.

Richard and Betty have been hosting families for over 20 years and enjoy meeting people from all over the world - one guest at a time! The only drawback is Betty drives a school bus in the morning, so breakfast isn’t until 10, but we got a discount because we were leaving early (but there was plenty of food in the fridge for “grab and go”). Next time we visit we will stay longer and plan on brunch!

Hope Pryde Farm is everything you would want in a Bed and Breakfast. The accommodations, along with the farm, were cozy, charming, and comfortable. The breakfast provided was excellent. Betty, the proprietor, was friendly and inviting. I would definitely go back!

Just returned from a wonderful stay at Hope Pryde farm. The guest house was so clean, comfortable, cozy, charming .... Get the idea I would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful! The owners Betty and Richard are welcoming and very easy to work with. I highly recommend!

We stay at the farm every year we are able to make the trip to the family cottages in ME. We love everything about the farm. My granddaughter is so excited to share the experience with her whole family this year.

Everything is clean and neat the the breakfast is amazing not to mention that you feel you are visiting with family as they welcome you into their home.

A most beautiful B and B...Richard and Betty are the friendliest people, always available to help with ideas on where to go, what to do...not to mention an excellent breakfast along with interesting conversation.

The grounds are quaint and well kept on their farm. The accommodations are wonderful, cozy, country like, everything I was looking for in a B and B. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay from start to finish !!!
