What a wonderful experience I had at Honey Moon Bakery. Beth was outstanding with dealing with a last minute request for a birthday cake and made my daughter’s day! Highly recommend checking out this great new shop in lovely Frenchtown.

I’ve been lucky enough to enjoy two cakes and plenty of treats from this bakery. Absolutely delicious. Great friendly service. Their carrot cake is seriously the best I’ve had. Can’t recommend this bakery enough. A great addition to a great little town.

I think I’ve tried every bakery in the area, and Honey Moon is hands down the best. So many bakeries make sugar bombs with no flavor. “Are you sure there’s cardamom [name a spice or ingredient] in that?” Not at Honey Moon. The flavors are not overpowering but they’re there. And the pastries are just the right amount of sweet (ie, not sugar bombs). So glad my friends told me about this place! I’ll be back.

Ever since I discovered this business through Instagram, I was so excited to make the 45 min trip and give it a try. Spoiler alert: it did NOT disappoint! My husband is a big sourdough enthusiast, so naturally we had to try their sourdough baguette. We also tried the brownie peanut butter salted peanut caramel sandwich (say that 5x fast) and the craquelin cream puff. OH MY GOD were these good!!! The cream puff was unlike anything I have ever tried - soft yet crunchy with a creamy filling that was the perfect amount of sweetness. The brownie sandwich was hard to share and the flavor was 10/10. I would also be lying if I said we weren’t ripping pieces of the baguette to try on the drive home. Everything was incredible and entirely worth the trip. My only regret was not grabbing one of their frozen sourdough pizzas to heat up for dinner tonight. I should also say that this space was so beautifully set up with the perfect display of goods and just filled with good vibes. I hope for nothing but an abundance of success for this business and am genuinely looking forward for my next visit.

The best baked good I've had is years was a chocolate peanut butter cookie sandwich from Honey Moon. You're here reading bakery reviews so surely you'll indulge me for a few choice words about this experience.

I don't really like chocolate cookies, finding them dull from uniformity. Somehow, Honey Moon made one which delighted me. Thiers had a softness born not from excessive greasy butter, but from an almost brownie-like consistency. The chocolate was rich with a fair balance of bitter and sweet. And being part of a cookie sandwich, I got to enjoy two!

Between the cookies was a whipped peanut butter filling, a flavor in which I am well versed. The filling captured the essence of good peanut butter but with a lightness and subtlety which defied its sticky origins. Even the quantity of filling was perfect, a layer modest enough to not ooze out when bitten, aided by the cookies fracturing gently under the pressure.

About half way through this enjoyable experience, the Honey Moon sorcerers of sweetness surprised me by making the already great sandwich even better. You see, nestled in the center of the filling layer was a dollop of caramel with peanuts. This burst of sugar and crunch expanded the flavor spectrum in two new dimensions.

When a seemingly unassuming cookie sandwich provides this level of satisfaction, I simply can't wait to return to Honey Moon and try the other wonders they've created. Go there and enjoy.
