Hilltop Motel

I give this place 5 stars because of the outstanding service. It's a modest old school budget motel. The rooms are not fancy, but they are very clean and functional with a larger than average refrigerator for a motel/hotel, and a microwave.

The service is what sets them apart. It's 5 star service. I made a mistake and accidentally booked a room with a king size bed for my teenage son and I, instead of a room with two queens. When I discovered this mistake I asked them to switch rooms for me, and although they were pretty booked up they made an effort to shuffle some rooms around and got me a room with two queen beds while still accommodating people who were coming the next few nights after we had arrived. Also the smoke from Canada was really bad, and I only had one N95 mask with me. They gave me another one free of charge so my son and I both had one. This was important because we were spending two days at nearby Six Flags Great Adventure. The motel is very convenient to this park, and if you are okay with modest accommodations for a great price that comes along with 5 star service, then I highly recommend Hilltop Motel.

I hate to be redundant, but a really nice place as per other reviews. Older family owned strip motel that has been updated. Very clean, good staff, welcoming, grab-and-go breakfast in very small lobby. Good coffee. Rooms are on the small side. I can see how people who like chain motels might not enjoy this motel, but we really liked it and would return. We like supporting small local business.

I had an amazing experience with Hilltop Motel. They are super polite and generous. This has been the best interaction I have had with a motel/hotel in my life. The prices are very fair for what you are getting. The rooms feel new and are clean. I felt very safe sleeping at this motel and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms give a newly renovated feel. The people at Hilltop Motel are very communicative and strive to make your stay a fantastic experience!

I stayed here while I was in NJ taking care of my Mom. The location was great, the room was clean and the owner is a wonderful person. She even called to ask about my Mom. What a fantastic stay!
