Finally took the plunge and sent my 77DX to Enak for repair. Had the pleasure of speaking to Clarence, truly polite and knowledgeable. Now I see (or hear) how a 77 should sound. Good price and fast turn around, less than 2 weeks. Thanks Clarence and Luke.
I have known Clarence for over 30 years and he has either worked on or restored 11 ribbon mics for me. I have had the honor of spending a good bit of time with Clarence in his shop. Watching him work is like watching a surgeon operate. His hands are precise instruments. Yes, as another reviewer stated, Clarence is a national treasure. Agree.
