Thai Terrace

This is the best restaurant in Washington Township!! I have ordered take out so many times over the years, and eaten in, bringing my own beer.

I love the owner! She makes the Som Tom (papaya) salad herself medium spicy, always authetic and so delicious. I get high off of the spiciness. :)

Also I love the Khao Kriab Pak Mo traditional pork dumplings, the Tom Kha coconut soup with tofu and veggies, the Shrimp Summer Rolls.

OMG I forgot the Chicken Satay skewers, they are bangin!!! That Satay peanut sauce is so delicious, its an amazing appetizer and a MUST.

For bigger items I love the Goong Ob Woon Sen, Green Curry Coconut Noodle Soup with Shrimp, and the Green Curry Fried Rice with Chicken. The green curry fried rice has the best flavor unmatched by anything!

Thai iced teas and Thai iced coffees have a unique delicious flavor that you can't find anywhere other than a thai restaurant. I think they use sweetened condensed milk. I recommend those if you did not bring your own alcohol.

Upscale Thai at a reasonable price. The 3 course lunch menu is as good as it gets. Spring Rolls are excellent, order some extras. The Green Currys are my favorites, but everything I have tried was very good and very authentic Thai. The dinning room is to a high finish for a formal setting. eNJoy

If you like Thai cuisine and you haven't dined at Thai Terrace you are missing out! It's tucked away in a small shopping plaza, but don't let the location deter you! The food is authentic and simply delicious! The 3 course $10 lunch specials are an awesome deal. I also love the Thai iced tea! Give it a try. You won't be disappointed!

I will gladly admit that I am a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to Thai food. I almost always order Pad Thai. That might seem boring, but I like the dish and it's a good way to compare restaurants. Thai Terrace is one of the best I've had. The only complaint I have is that sometimes the spiciness is a little inconsistent. However, I'm willing to chalk that up to varying depending upon who's cooking on a given day. They have four levels of spiciness. I usually go with #2, medium. It's usually within my range of spice tolerance.

We also order typically a lot of appetizers. They have some really good ones. The pork dumplings are delicious. The chicken satay is incredibly tender. They also have one called Thai Shrimp Green Wrap that's really unique and tasty. It consists of shrimp, peanuts, coconut, sweet chili sauce, lime, scallions, ginger and red onions in a lettuce wrap. It seems like a lot of ingredients but they all combine incredibly well.

We occasionally try new local Thai restaurants as we discover them, but we always seem to wind up back at Thai Terrace. The atmosphere in the restaurant is quiet and peaceful; the owners and their staff are really friendly and the food never disappoints.
