Svetlana Smirnova DDS

Having dental work done is never fun, but Dr. Smirnova did her best to alleviate my anxiety and to make everything as quick and painless as possible.

Dentists scare me. My most painful moments physically have been in a dentist chair at the hands of them and up until now all have lacked any empathy. Svetlana is a beautiful, intelligent and empathic dentist. My teeth were destroyed from vomiting 20x a day through pregnancy at 24 and ever since I'm lucky to have any teeth. Yesterday was only my first appointment. I was there for over an hour and 30 mins because of how thorough she was. The second she asked me about my teeth I broke down in tears. My mouth is what I hate about myself 100%, I try not to smile and try to hide my teeth and for 33 years I've never had any confidence. I couldn't even speak I cried so hard. She got me tissues, she listened and explained every single thing we need to do. I will update my review after I get my deep cleaning with how it goes, but the dentist was wonderful and you could tell she truly wanted to help me which is an alien feeling to me. Most dentists look at you and think of the ways they could get you for more money. I'm only scared about if I can afford all the treatment I need. She was very genuine and her mannerisms and gestures showed me she's kind and isn't just in it for the money. She didn't judge me for any of my problems or my ugly mouth which means the world. I judge it enough for everyone. All I hope is that one day I can chew normally, not have any mouth gun pain and most of all smile. 33 years on this earth and ive never showed teeth in a picture. Hopefully ill have one before i leave this world. Thank you for being kind... -Mary

Dr. Smirnova is the best. I made the mistake of going to a different dentist after moving and had to go back to her to fix the mistakes made. You can tell she really cares about her patients and takes the time to explain everything that she will do and why. It’s really reassuring and makes you feel like you’re getting the best care.

Dr. Smirnova and her team are excellent; I have been going to them since I was a child. As I aged, I became somewhat careless in keeping up with my regular appointments the past few, well many... years but I knew I needed to get a check up as it had been so long.

I was somewhat nervous as it had been so long, but the atmosphere and feeling that everyone in the office cares about you, made me much more relaxed. The professionalism speaks volumes. X-rays, cleaning, check up, and recommendations were all great. The communication and accommodation with setting up appointments was fantastic, exactly as I remembered it. Hands down, the best in the area; Dr. Smirnova and everyone on her team is phenomenal - I would highly recommend to friends, family, and others.
