Salem Medical Center

I was just discharged on Friday after a three day stay. When I first arrived I met with instant care and respect. This was from nurse Corey, and then by tech Jessica Holland. Then sent upstairs and met with phenomenal care. Every 3rd floor nurse and tech was understanding and caring. If there was a need I required they got it done, when there was something extra I asked for or wanted they were they didn't hesitate. So thank you

I had my outpatient surgery here recently. The hospital staff when checking in is not very friendly. They're all wearing masks, sitting behind glass, talking so low you have to repeatedly ask them what they said. Once your done checking in, they tell you where to go next, except don't tell you where it is, then act irritated that you ask, like you're supposed to know how it navigate a hospital you've never been in before. I had to visit a week before my surgery for some X-rays and the technician was the same. She stepped back into the glass room and started asking me questions, I couldn't hear a thing she was saying, there was a fan sitting on the counter where I was standing, and she acted irritated because she had to repeat herself. When I got changed into the gown I needed to wear, she just walked off and didn't tell me where to go, so I just stood there. She came back out and looked irritated as she tells me where to go, again like I was supposed to know. Once I was back into the area where the surgery was performed, I had a good experience with the nurses and doctors. Especially my nurse Jackie, she was very understanding and attentive. The anesthesiologist was a bit unorthodox but, not so much that I'm going to give him a bad review. Of course my doctor, Dr. Kakkilaya, is the best. I'll put his review up on his practice separate. I haven't received my bill from the hospital yet, I tried to pay my copay before surgery but they wouldn't take it. After reading the other comments on here I get the feeling I may be changing my rating when I do.
