(March 4, 2023, 9:30 am)It’s rare to get a second chance in life, but at Russo Music in Hamilton, NJ, it’s possible. Michael met me at the door and after asking me what I was looking for, he handed me the perfect “brand new” telecaster with a thicker neck profile and a Fender Mustang50 amp. The combination was perfect. When I said I loved it but it was out of my price range, he went and found the same guitar, used, less expensive, perfectly worn in, and came with a case, and a Mustang40 amp. Then I did what I’m sure many of us do sometimes especially when money is tight: I talked myself into a Tele Squier 40th anniversary that I really liked (still do, and highly recommend) but wasn’t in love with because it didn’t have the thicker neck profile that helped for my style of play. I also got the Mustang40 amp. Michael was very knowledgeable, a cool person too, not pushy, and understanding that I was trying to be “responsible.” Everyone at the store for that matter was so positive, they all seemed genuinely interested in what I was looking for and offering options.
Today (a few days later and after obsessively playing the past few days) I got some unexpected good news that there was an error on my wife’s medical bill that had been hanging over our heads, meaning we owed much less. I called Russo, asked for Michael, and explained that nothing was wrong with the guitar I have but that “I have buyer’s remorse.” He said the used Tele was still available, and that they would let me exchange and pay the difference! I rushed to Russo almost at closing time (6:45 when they close at 7:00) and I walked out with the used thick neck profile Tele a few minutes later, after everyone welcomed me warmly. I’m thrilled. I got a rare second chance in life. And I plan on being a lifelong Russo customer. Going to look into lessons. They also have some awesome gear demos on their YouTube page that help explain pedals and effects, and much more! They’ve got me coming back and they deserve your business, too. Trust me. -

The service level was exceptional and prompt, guitar was shipped in a perfect condition and really fast (I live in Colorado and had my guitar delivered only a day after payment was completed). (January 1, 2023, 7:26 pm)I can't recommend any of Russo's locations enough! Friendly staff that aren't pushy and very knowledgable. Great vibe and feel that sets them apart from the chain stores. Highly recommend you stop by for a great selection of musical equipment.
