Rising Moon Midwifery

After two hospital births we decided to go the home birth route. Kate is calm, cool, and collected. She doesn’t intervene or interfere unless she needs to, we are so thankful for the whole team at Rising Moon and their love for every mother in their care. I couldn’t imagine a better home birth experience we were able to have because of their support!

I had two beautiful births with Kate and her team. I felt Kate always had myself and my
Child’s best interest at heart. She was a firecracker when my girls were each born as they both came out not breathing for quite a while! She was calm, collected and I can’t imagine anyone else to have been there at that particular moment. The prenatal care I received was great. I loved my appointments and couldn’t wait to go to the next one. They adequately prepare you for everything you need to have a safe and dreamy home birth. She checked in on me more often that usual post partum due to having a hard time breastfeeding in the beginning. She even brought tools to help me and sourced donor milk for me when I called her in tears that my baby was hungry and I didn’t have enough milk supply.
My first birth was exactly 8 Years ago tomorrow.

I cannot thank Kate, Brooke, & Annie enough for their support and encouragement during the months of my pregnancy and home birth. I am so grateful these women are in practice so as to give women a chance to feel empowered and have autonomy over their birth experience. They are a gift and I hope they know this. I felt completely safe and trusting in Kate’s care which is so incredibly important in birth. My experience couldn’t have been more amazing. THIS is how birth & maternal care should be. I would 100% do it again and recommend women use Rising Moon’s services.

This review is, embarrassingly, LONG OVERDUE. Kate. IS. AMAZING. We interviewed at least a handful of midwives in the 30 miles distance, before going with Rising Moon. She has professionalism, knowledge, experience, compassion, dedication and a community of home-birthed parents that she has built. There was no doubt, after we met her, that we wanted to continue searching. The space and safety-comfort surrounding the birth experience is unlike any other with Kate. Incredible experience. I can’t recommend Rising Moon enough to other women and families who are seeking out home birth! I had my first baby a few days ago under Kate and her team’s supervision and my husband and I are so satisfied with how professional and experienced Kate was through the entire pregnancy. Although this was our first child and we had a lot of learning to do, Kate made that experience so much more empowering because of her guidance. Kate’s team (Brooke and Annie) were also such a great resource and presence throughout the pregnancy meetings and during labor/delivery. When I was starting to feel exhausted after having not slept in a day because my contractions began at night, they helped me build the willpower to cross the finish line.

My husband and I are so satisfied that although we’re moving across the state, we’re considering coming out to the east side for (God willing!) our next child so that we can deliver another baby with Rising Moon!
