Pilgrim's Rest Bed and Breakfast

Very comfortable and accommodating. Donna was super nice. First experience with a bed and breakfast so the shared bathroom was a bit off-putting, but overall a wonderful stay.

Great find for a place to stay; so I even returned later. Check-in was easy and efficient. Very nice room, very clean, great bathroom with curved out shower curtain and well-placed body soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower. Really like the breakfast and how she has ready for you when you want in the morning. Parking on street beside house.

This turned out to be a terrific alternative to the higher-priced hotels in downtown Philadelphia. This bed and breakfast is in the Germantown section of Philly. The host family was extremely nice and provided a continental style breakfast. The muffins were homemade and delicious. It was fun to eat a family style breakfast with the other people staying there. The rooms were clean & cozy with a homestyle comfort. There was plenty of on-street parking so I was able to just leave my car and take a Lyft into the city saving me the aggravation of trying to find a spot downtown. Great experience.

Our stay at Pilgrims Rest was very relaxing. Dick and Donna we're great host. we enjoyed the morning conversations and bird watching while eating breakfast. The best thing about Pilgrims Rest is the privacy and peaceful surroundings. The rooms are equipped with a cozy bed and great closet space and a refrigerator and microwave. We also had a couch with a pull out bed that came in handy for our daughter. This was truly a great place to stay while in Philadelphia, as my husband calls it a Gem. I can't wait to return with the whole family next time.

We have stayed here numerous times. Donna and Dick are very caring hosts. Their home is spacious and very convenient as it is minutes from downtown Philly, yet sits adjoining to the beautiful woods of Fairmount Park in a quiet upper-class neighborhood.
The bedrooms are roomy and VERY comfortable with all the conveniences you could want. We have always woken up feeling refreshed. She serves a delicious and abundant continental breakfast with great coffee, and/or tea, and/or juice.
I read the reviews below, and most of them are very accurate. The one negative one seems very odd. I think whoever wrote that must have some other issues going on.
