We had a wire fire on Byberry Road (Between Bustleton and Philmont intersections) and then power outage last night. Fire crew was prompt as should be for the fireman. But I want those people be recognized for a lot of extra efforts, care and kindness! They did much more that fire people have to do! They kept disabled husband safe. They were trying to make our generator work, they put so much effort to make it work (it was 100 F and 100% humidity at night, working in their heavy fire uniforms), but battery was dead. Two of the fireman offered to bring their personal generators from home. Of course we refused it. During PECO fixing the wires, they were constantly knocking the door to make sure my husband is fine.

Best in the business. These guys are super-prompt and even run their sirens in an almost whisper mode late at night or very early morning depending on the crisis of the situation. This firehouse has been my protector for over 20 years and I look forward to 20 more. Keep up the great work guys!
