He has helped me unlearn some bad habits and learn some good ones. This has led to improvements in my abilities, but I am too impatient (which he has also helped with) so hoping for more advances soon.

He’ll meet you where you’re at, no matter your level of playing, and make it fun along the way! Definitely check out lessons with him if you’re looking to pick up an instrument or improve upon what you’re already doing!

Since then, he has not only taught me skills on bass, guitar, and ukulele, but also many lessons on musicianship as well. He teaches important skills as well as the reasoning and theory behind them, so you always understand why you're doing what you're doing. His style of teaching made me love the music that I was playing in ways I couldn't imagine. Taking his lessons was probably the best start I could've had to what I believe will be a lifelong musical journey. I cannot thank him enough for all that he has helped me, and I am so grateful to have found him.

(August 16, 2019, 7:30 pm)I have been taking lessons with Paul for about two months and my playing has improved dramatically in that period as well as my confidence that I can play better. Paul is patient and kind and really easy to work with. At first I wasn’t sure if an online lesson would work but my schedule is too hard to accommodate in person lessons. It’s worked just as well as in person and has saved time. I look forward to seeing Paul and his positive attitude each week knowing he is working to help me get better. He is very responsive and open to goal discussions. Just for background I took formal in person lessons for a year somewhere else and quit and was trying to pick things up after several years off and get to the next level from beginner and play with folks outside my house.
