Dr. Scimanna is an excellent physician. I have known her for a long time; first as my family physician and now as my acupuncturist. Dr. Scimanna has effective treatments for all my problems. Lower back issues, knees etc. She is an amazing physician who takes the time to understand your issues. Office visits are well scheduled, so no long waits. Dr. Scimanna’s practice is really the best of Eastern and Western medicine.

I’m a physician. Have had cervical neck pain in past. Meds, steroid injections and p t did not help. Dr Sciamanna treated the area 3 years ago. Have had NO recurrence since. About one year later i had a severe plantar fasciitis in my foot. Meds, physical therapy, and finally a consult with a Rothman orthopedist. He had a boot made for me and told me I would have a chronic issue. I saw dr Sciamanna. After a series of treatments i have had NO problem with the problem. In both cases i am not receiving any periodic therapy. I would highly recommend her treatments for these and other similar issues. Incidentally, my wife has had successful treatments for knee and shoulder pain.

Dr Sciamanna has changed the quality of my life. She is effectively treating my multiple sclerosis with Chinese scalp acupuncture. I’ve improvements in my gait, balance and muscle spasticity, and regained some feeing in my feet and legs. She’s very personable, and I look forward to our sessions. Her office support, Dawn, is efficient, considerate and kind. A great duo!

I wish I was introduced to Dr. Sciamanna decades ago. I have suffered with severe back pain for 27 years. I tried physical therapy, medication, massage, heat treatments along with going to a chiropractor for 20+ years and NONE of these treatments compared to the relief and healing I have experienced with Dr. Sciamanna. Dr. Sciamanna is an absolutely wonderful physician. She is extremely knowledgeable, very friendly and genuinely invests time with her patients. Dr. Sciamanna is not only an acupuncturist but also a licensed medical doctor, so she brings a greater depth to your overall care & treatment. Dr. Sciamanna actually uncovered an issue that my orthopedic doctor overlooked. Dr. Sciamanna also successfully treated me for a shoulder problem that I was experiencing. In addition her office is “buttoned-down”. I’ve never waited more than 2-3 minutes to be escorted to the treatment room. Dr. Sciamanna's office manager, Dawn, is fabulous! Dawn is very friendly, well organized, and she will "go the distance" to get you an appointment with the doctor. Don’t live in pain, make the call!

In 2009, I started to experience pain in my left hip. I used to walk 2-3 times a week for exercise, but the pain got bad enough that I had to stop. I thought I might need a hip replacement, but decided to try acupuncture before calling an ortho doc. The first time I saw Dr. Sciamanna I was walking with a cane. X-rays revealed only mild arthritis in the hip. She prescribed two weeks of treatment along with home rest. Two weeks later, I was walking normally with no pain and no cane! Don't know how this works, but it does. Have been a patient ever since. I highly recommend Marlton Acupuncture for pain management.
