Very relaxed vibe. I have been enjoying mellowing out here w/ a good quiche & Jasmine Pearl Tea after dropping my kids off at school I’m ghe am. & the ppl who work here are so very nice & welcoming. I’m glad I discovered this little jewel in my neighborhood.
We had the leek empanadas, spinach-carrot-and-cheese empanadas, and the torta de patates. They were all delicious. My favorite was the leek empanada—savory and salty and just packed with flavor. We also had two teas and they were equally delicious. I am looking forward to stopping by again and trying the pastries!
Fabulous! This establishment sells a variety of crafty items, but I stopped in to try their empanadas and I was not disappointed. They have several varieties, and if you buy three they are three dollars apiece. I tried the spinach, the beef and the lentil. The beef and lentil were A+++ superb! The spinach was a bit of a let down for me only because it seemed to primarily contain carrot and not spinach, but it was still tasty. I would compare it more to a Scottish pasty.
I will have to check out their sister store which is a full on cafe!
At Jezabel’s Café, chef and owner Jezabel Careaga invites you to enjoy her menu of Argentine specialties lovingly prepared in-house, everyday using only the freshest ingredients. Indulge in an assortment of delectable empanadas, savory vegetable tartas, and alfajores de maizena enrobed in smooth dulce de leche as you sip a frothy cappuccino in the sun-drenched space of Jezabel’s, the original location is at the corner of 26th and Pine Streets in Philadelphia’s Fitler Square neighborhood.
Quaint little cafe/tea house serving freshly made empanadas, pastries, coffee and teas. Jezabel herself was there and spoke to me about the space- she designed and hand made nearly everything you see in the studio, tables and all! The empanada and coffee I had were great, and I felt like a guest in someone's home. Check out this fantastic new addition to the neighborhood!
