Kolari Vision

I purchased an IR Chrome filter on 23rd June 2023 and it arrived in the UK on 28th June 2023. Kolari Vision's service is amazing and their filter is fantastic. I would 100% recommend this company.

I dropped my Nikon D5000 while I was on vacation. When I looked through my viewfinder, I noticed a greenish discoloration which now appears in all of my photos. I did a Google search when I got home for 'Camera lense repair near me'. The search led me to Kolari Vision.

I stopped by and spoke to Claire. She knowledgeable and polite. She kindly explained to me that Kolari Vision does not repair lenses, but they do sell used lenses. Before showing me used lenses, Claire troubleshot my camera to confirm that the lense was damaged. Coincidentally, the used lense that she had in stock was exactly what I was looking for and the price was decent.

I told Claire that I liked the used lense but my priority was to get my first lense fixed. I google searched and called 6 other companies and none of them repaired lenses.

A week later, I went back to Kolari Vision, I picked up the used lense. I very happy with the lense, I'm just a little disappointed with Google. There's a big difference between camera lense repair and used camera lenses sales

Perfect conversion and five-star customer service. I contacted Kolari for an H-alpha conversion about a year ago. However, after some time, I discovered that many camera lenses tend to have IR leak problems, causing unwanted IR flare issues (this is more of a lens issue, not an conversion issue). The Kolari Pocket Full Spectrum camera provided me with a mobile infrared capability that is easier than converted DSLRs or mirrorless cameras. The filter set gives me multiple choices of wavelength filtering for different color effects. Besides the portability and stunning results, I ordered the RAW conversion SD card and can shoot RAW files for flexibility and quality in post processing. In the past 2 years of owning the camera, I have increased my skill level with infrared and have produced images that amaze my audiences of friends, social media, and gallery infrared exhibits. In the time I have owned the camera I have been able to augment my skills as a professional photographer with the surprising and flexible color shifts of infrared though this pocket camera. I am very satisfied customer.

Infrared photography was something that I became interested in to keep photography interesting during the pandemic. I learned that Kolari Vision did camera conversions for IR and also sold lens filters. Since then, I have had a couple of cameras converted into full spectrum for astrophotography by Kolari Vision, and I have purchased their IR filters (including the IR Chrome one). Their work is top notch and I've enjoyed going out shooting with my full spectrum camera and the end product that I get while editing my photos.

They also are impressive with customer service. When I have reached out to Kolari Vision with questions, they're super helpful when they respond, and they also have impressive response time. The processing time on the full spectrum conversion on the cameras was also on time.

I can say that I've enjoyed doing business with them for my infrared photography needs, and would highly recommend them to everyone else! I've definitely made sure to give them credit when I post infrared photos on Instagram.
