(April 28, 2023, 9:24 am)Room was nice and clean. Bed was comfortable and foam pillows were not . Restaurant was good. We had brie and beef barley soup for appetizers both very good. My wife had chicken which was Ok and I ordered just the crab cake appetizer which was over salted and uneatable. Bread pudding dessert was excellent. Service overall was very good. Everyone was very professional and dressed the part except for the fellow who checked us out the next morning at 7:am. Looked like he was wearing pajamas, coat and a bandana.

The food was exceptional, the service was phenomenal and the rooms were charming! I cannot thank Jamie and her staff for a wonderful experience during this difficult time. I highly recommend the Joseph Ambler Inn to anyone considering a great venue. They deserve more than five stars!!

(October 30, 2022, 1:48 pm)Made dinner reservations for a special occasion. The grounds are beautiful and impressive. It was a busy night because there was an event in an adjoining building. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We were not rushed and took our time ordering, eating and talking. The dinner menu is pricey but there is lighter fare at lower costs. (You can see their menu online.) The Chilean Sea Bass was very good as well as the risotto. Sea scallops were cooked perfectly and delicious and also came with risotto. The cheese steak sandwich was very good.
In my opinion, the only criticism would be that the plated food presentation was boring. It didn’t represent the upscale cost of the meal. And 4 sea scallops for dinner was not enough. It would be more satisfying if 5 were plated. Again, the food was very good but the presentation needs more eye appeal.
