Very knowledgeable and friendly. Jack fixed my sewing machine, after years of neglect, for a very reasonable rate. He really obviously cares about these machines, and wants you to, too.
Jack saved my older model Singer 9217 from the junk heap. He skillfully replaced the presser foot lifting mechanism. I'm happy to have my REAL heavy duty (little to no plastic) machine back in service!
Brought in my Singer One Plus that I have definitely over worked for the last 7 years. The bobbin was gathering terribly and I could not figure out how to fix it. I got it back and she runs beautifully and is all fixed up. Only took a few hours once I dropped it off. Super grateful! He was knowledgeable and gave me some sewing tips. I was also given a warranty if the machine needs to be tuned up again! Highly recommend!
I got a vintage machine (60s Sears Kenmore 158) from a thrift store and was told it "worked" but of course it didn't really and the tension was effed. I called Jack, got an appointment 2 days later where he came to the house outside of normal business hours. He couldn't fix it at my house so he took it with him to the store and then delivered it back on his way home the next day, so service was incredibly fast and convenient. The machine runs beautifully now after Jack replaced a cracked gear and some other items, and I was told I have a 1yr warranty.
Ultimately it was worth the price, but I wish I had asked for more clarity on the final price up front. I was originally quoted $80-100 if there were no parts needing replaced. Obviously he did need to replace parts but the total ended up over $300 after taxes. I consider this an investment in a heavy duty machine (they don't make them like this anymore!) but if budget is your biggest consideration, it's probably less expensive to just replace your machine if it has serious issues.
I brought my Grandmom’s 60 year old sewing machine in that’s been sitting in her attic for quite some time. He fixed it in less than an hour for a great price. He was very informative and personable, Thankyou!!! You made my Grandmom and I so happy !!
