Centreville Place: Cafe + Market

Centreville Place is more than just a place to grab a bite to eat - it's a true neighborhood gem that you won't want to miss. When my family had just moved to the area, we stumbled upon this cozy spot… and we knew right away that we had found something special. The team at the cafe, led by the wonderful Elizabeth, went out of their way to make us feel welcome, introducing us to neighbors, giving us the lay of the land, and even offering to let me work from the cafe when our wifi wasn't set up yet. It's that kind of hospitality that keeps us coming back time and time again.

It's not just the team that makes Centreville Cafe stand out - it's the incredible food, too. From the highest-quality ingredients to the authentic flavors of France, every dish is a true delight. Whether you're in the mood for a breakfast sammie, a savory quiche, or a delicious omelet, you won't be disappointed. The pastries and baked goods are also simply divine.

But what really sets Centreville Cafe apart is the community that Elizabeth has built around it. She is always looking for ways to engage the community and has truly created a hub of activity and connection in the heart of the neighborhood. We are so happy to have discovered this wonderful cafe and always look forward to our next visit.

We went because we saw that dogs were allowed. They changed their rule slightly as the health department won't allow for pets inside. However, they have a nice warm porch, and a large outdoor seating area where pets are allowed.

The food is amazing! I had a huge bagel with smoked salmon, and a yogurt parfait. My wife and I split a warm butterscotch scone, fresh out of the oven. Our puppy had a fresh home baked peanut butter dog treat. He doesn't say much, but the tail wag indicated that he loved it.

Enjoyed the Centerville Cafe on Sunday afternoon with a party of six for afternoon tea. We were presented with a very tailored selection of tea for every different pallet. Four traditional courses: sandwiches, savory, sweet, scones. 2.5 hours of time to converse in a historic and lovely setting.

It was a special afternoon, and our host (also the owner) made us feel very pampered. As well as being a busy cafe for the daily coffee needs for anyone passing by on Rt. 52, it is also a gathering place quiet work and for carefully crafted plates.

The high tea was perfect, from start to finish. The atmosphere was lovely, and the tea was divine. Every course was exquisite, both in appearance and taste. I especially appreciate the accommodations that were made for my vegan diet. We will return often.
