Brandywine Baptist Church

My family and I really enjoy visiting Brandywine on the occasions we are in the area. This is a wonderful church with a tight knit community of people who love Jesus and each other. Pastor Robert's messages always hit home, and feel like they can be practically applied to my life. Awesome place and people!

Brandywine Baptist offers a unique church-going experience. Four ministers rotate preaching, bringing a sound doctrinal message each week. Each presents the timeless Word of God in their own special, dynamic style. Rounding out the Brandywine experience is the downstairs church hall which has recently been updated in a warm, homey atmosphere that reflects the beauty of the historic building.

Christ is indeed the Head of this church! He has held her together for some 300 years and clearly intends to use her, unto His glory, to continue reconciling people unto Himself! (see Col. 1:17-20) The gospel is not only preached here, it is lived out through the love that radiates from the congregation, leaders, and Pastor! There is sound doctrine preached, equipping of the saints, and clear fruit from it!! Not to mention that men would have laid down their weapons outside the doors of this beautiful church and came inside to worship their Father together! If you're looking for a solid church.... Brandywine Baptist is a church where the Word of God is preached unapologetically with a wonderful Pastor who Shepherds his flock with love, biblical teaching, and an incredible, unfailing love for Jesus Christ. As a husband & a father of a large family, I take the responsibility of deciding on a new church for myself and my family with quite a bit of sincerity. If you are taking time to read reviews of this local Chadds Ford church, I would love to share my personal thoughts of the value of attending your first service with us.

When my wife and I first considered a new church to follow the one we called home for 20 years, we were looking for the following attributes: #1: to be Spirit-led, #2: to feel warm and inviting #3: to encourage growth through ministerial outreaches, and finally,, #4: a strong leadership that would lead their flock through good times as well as bad. To all of this, Pastor Robert Kossak and the Brandywine Baptist Church have met each of our needs for us to call this church our home for almost the past two years.

From the moment you are met at the front doors with a cheerful greeting and hug, it is clear that the Holy Spirit is welcomed in each and every service. The praise and worship, as well as the delivering of the Word are led by the Spirit and have that much more impact of a Sunday experience that will carry through the rest of the week.

There is a genuine warmth and caring among the faithful of this church that is void of judgment or criticism. We are enthusiastic in our participation and always welcoming of the visitor.

Our leadership encourages everyone to embrace and participate in the ministry for the body. There is always a place for anyone who feels inspired to serve!

Finally, the leadership under the pastoral care of Robert Kossak is both grounded in preaching & teaching from the Word of God while at the same time, building genuine & sincere relationships with all and encouraging us to build relationships with each other. I have never been encouraged so much to have fun in living for Jesus as I have in the time I have known Pastor Robert and his wife and daughters.
