Great place for a stroll. Good amount of parking. There's a porta-potty and pavilion. My daughter loves visiting.

For what it has to offer, it’s excellent.

Fishing: Don’t go here expecting to shore fish- not happening. way better options elsewhere. perfect for kayak or small boat, nothing heavy. “Boat” Ramp is fairly far from parking lot (it’s a tiny ramp, but solid and well constructed).

Hiking: Trails are wide and clear. Very grassy, tons of native plants and tree and animals. There are a lot of trails. Good place for a hike and a picnic.

Bbq: there is a pavilion for rent and then smaller picnic tables with bbq grills. Not much to do for kids since you cannot shore fish and there is no playground, but beautiful park with great scenery and the facilities to have a solid bbq, just bring yard games or something.

Native Tree Hunting: They have a plot of native trees that is solid for learning trees or if you are trying to decide on buying a tree, this a good way to “window shop” the trees native to this area.

There is a bathroom (portapotty). There usually is a trashcan but last time I went (5/2023), there was not. And there are generally no crowds.

Solid, quaint, low-key state-maintained park, but don’t expect the park to provide much entertainment unless you love nature; then it is probably quite entertaining.

Fantastic place for a walk, beautiful water view, there is a native tree plot with placards so you can learn how to identify our native trees. I'm a visual learner so I found this really educational and entertaining. Beautiful spot to spend a few hours!
