Acacia

Great portion sizes, good service and tasty food. The only complaint was how loud the restaurant was. Noise seems to carry easily and it was hard to enjoy conversation at the table. It was something noted by everyone in our party.

Last weekend we hosted a luncheon at Acacia with 16 friends & family. The food was really excellent and the ambience made for a wonderful time. Lauren helped craft a great menu
starting with the best humus I’ve ever had, a salad of mixed greens or Caesar, followed by a choice of salmon, pork, chicken or pasta. Then the dessert of cookies, lemon or chocolate mousse in cute cups. You can’t imagine the raves. We highly recommend Acacia for a “perfect on all levels”, event.

Attended a surprise birthday party for my daughter on Saturday night that my son in law put together at Acacia. We arrived early to set up some items for the surprise. Lauren introduced herself and explained what the plan was for the evening. Her staff were all very helpful, friendly and on top of everything throughout the night. Service was excellent! Since Acacia is a BYOB they already had all the provided beverages set up and on ice when needed. The tables were set with tablecloths and all the the needed place settings. The appetizers were brought around which were delicious and always hot! The food choices were excellent and served piping hot also. Received comments from guests that food was excellent. I had the short ribs which were tender and also delicious. The deserts were wonderful! The "icing on the cake" (no pun intended) was the birthday cake that was made in house with real buttercream frosting and fruit. I have to say that Lauren and her staff made sure everyone had a good time, always had what we needed and provided a wonderful experience for all the partygoers. I would highly recommend considering Acacia for your next special event! My wife and I would like to return in the future for a nice dinner maybe even with our daughter and her husband!

Acacia is always a safe bet for a good meal. It's BYOB, which is always a plus if you like drinking good wine but keeping the dining tab under control. Also, service at the table is good. However, due to personal circumstances, I usually end up doing takeout. It's not the kind of place you would typically think of for doing that, but they do it. Food is good and well packed. My complaint is that service is just not acceptable. When I call to order, they tell me it won't be ready until a specific time, which might be up to an hour or more later. That's fine. They could tell me two hours- it would be up to me to decide if that would work. The problem is, I show up right on time and then still end up standing in the restaurant entrance for half an hour waiting for it. I get that they are serving guests in the dining room, but if they can't have the food ready in a specified time, don't tell me that time. Just be realistic, so I don't ruin my evening standing in a dining room waiting for my dinner. Still, they have good food, and are a United Dining restaurant, so I'll probably be standing there again...
